WHAT SHE BEEN UP TO???
Well I survived two months as a missionary! I'm having a great time and I learning so much. I love the people that I serve here in Chino Hills and Los Serranos. This week was our first transfer and I'm going to be staying in the same place. I'm excited to stay put for a while because we have a number of investigators. Right now we are teaching some teenage girls and they are just soaking up the gospel. They ask great questions and are willing to keep the commitments that we leave with them. On Sunday we had a two investigators attend a baptism. One of the investigators we found just a couple hours earlier. I taught him the first lesson in a members kitchen!
Above there is a picture of the 17 year old twins that we are teaching. We went to their band concert to give them support. It was great...of course things turned into one heck of a hoopla.
Next picture: is Sister Faust and my surrogate Father Craig on Father's Day. We made him a baseball bat and enscribed our nickname for him on it. Daddy-O got a Batty-o. I drew a Charicature of the "Wolfman" on top of the bat. He get's that name because of his beautiful gray mullet. You can probably imagine that he and I became best friends fast. Business up front...party in the back.
Next Picture the Luna Family (non members). We went to check on them and I made friends with their dog Dukes. He loved me soo much that he jumped up on me and peeeed all down the front of my skirt and on my only pair of shoes! Yuck. It turned into alot of fun and Sister Fau and Augie (the father) made sure to laugh at me for a good 5 minutes.
Today we went bowling with the Rodriguez family. The sister missionaries over the last couple of months have reactivated them. Recently they have fallen on hard times and are now moving to Texas. We had a goodbye bash at the bowling alley. With the bumpers on things got pretty silly.
i love you all and miss your sweet cheeks!
